5C: Work for English, Thursday 24th September

Hi 5C!

Follow the link to the interactive worksheet and play the Kahoot, please!

We remembered the PRESENT SIMPLE form today:

We use PRESENT SIMPLE to talk about our HABITS and ROUTINES and GENERAL TRUTHS.

Examples:

I eat fruit every day. (habit)

I play table tennis on Tuesday. (routine)

I like unicorns. (general truth)

We also remembered what happens to the VERB when we change the SUBJECT:

She/Ana eats fruit every day.

He/Alberto plays table tennis on Tuesday.

They like unicorns. We like unicorns. BUT… She likes unicorns.

We add the sneaky ‘s’ at the end of the verb in third person (He/She/It/Name). Try not to forget it!

To form the question, we need a little help. We use the verb DO, like this:

Do you like unicorns?

Do we play table tennis on Tuesday?

With HE, SHE and IT, we add the sneaky ‘s’ to the helper verb DO like this:

Does he eat fruit every day?

Does she like unicorns?
